i've got an email like this: From The Vice President Online Mac Bingo Promotions Via Ferrucci 54, 50100 Florence , Italy. This is to inform that your notice that your Email Address attached to a Ticket Number XXXXX with Reference number XXXXX(i just use xx here) has won an Award Sum of (Seven Hundred and Eighteen Thousand ,Five Hundred and Eighty-One Euros)in the Online Mac Bingo Email Sweepstakes program held on the 10th of March 2007. Do contact your winning processing claims agent for details on the following e-mails. No, it's not real. Your email address was probably gotten from some sort of mailing list that was sold to them. Hundreds of thousands of other people probably got this same letter. This form of Nigerian scam is very popular nowadays. Anything that asks for your bank account info, Social Security number, or any other personal information is a hoax. http://www.snopes.com/crime/fraud/lottery.asp
