Question
Suppose I am using a standard regular calculator and I want to figure out 15% of 45 dollars, which buttons do I push and in what order? Thanks to everyone who answers No this is not homework, I am a university student and have not taken math in years...I hate math. This is merely like when I am at restaurants, I want to know how much to tip.

Answer
do the percentage over 100, multiply by the subject. so 15% of $45 would be (15/100) x 45
